  Hi Guys, I waited a long time to find a 71 401 4sp AMX and then found the Mustard Yellow and was pretty excited. Then I put it up for sale and everyone was asking why. Well this is the reason I sold the Mustard Yellow which was a nice car. It is a factory  correct 71 401 4sp, Black with a Red leather int. This could be 1 of 1 allthough no way to tell. This car has been in a heated garage for the last 35 years. Inspection sticker on windshield says void after Jan 1 81 and the mileage is 31235 on sticker and odometer reads 31443. Someone added a.c vents for some reason so I will be looking for a nice machined non a.c overlay. Enjoy the pics with more to come as I clean-work on it,   Rick

WOW that is nice! It sure looks like it has original miles with that documentation. If it has a build sheet not eaten by mice your golden
Did you see the red on red 71 AMX that was on ebay at the same time as the mustard yellow car you had?? It was a lot rougher but had the 401 4speed and 3.91 rear gears.
