As I recall on the radiator extension panel at the front of the trough.

did you use anything special to clean the metal or just sand and grind it?

The replacement trough was glass bead blasted after trimming and sizing it. The areas where it attaches to the car were ground and sanded down to bare shiny steel. After I get the other side done the top and bottom of both troughs will be coated with POR15.

They sure look better than what was there before. I can imagine there was quite a bit of flexing going on around the spring tower...that is fabbed sheet metal not strong at all.
