You can cut the top off a regular air gap for that purpose, I'm sure somebody would love to take the pro-flow manifold off your hands. I'm sure the time effort and cost of changing the casting process for a one off piece would far exceed that required to hack the top of an existing manifold.

So you have a picture of the finished product, sounds interesting.

I really think some of you guys are getting off the purpose of this thread. If you want to cut up intakes and build things fine, but do it on another thread. We are lucky to be getting a new inatake and I think we owe it to Dennis to keep the post & comments the about the new intake only.

True, but definitely a good subject that could be covered elsewhere.

I see the future as Eddelbrock sending you a data package
and you 3D print it yourself.

Our beloved V8s do need a structural intake manifold
so the idea of supplying a strong center manifold
and allowing you to 3D print anything you desire
has a strong appeal to it.

The future is nearly here and it's cheap 3D printing.

Note, 3D printing on that scale still is not cheap :(

Dang, I didn't know a Mopar victor efi intake was being made. i have the carb version cut up and ready to weld to a air gap bottom, just like you have pictured, I may have to get the efi version of the mopar intake if this is not going to get made with all the goodies.

Very interested on how your tested goes,
Thanks Dennis
Keep up the good work.

Now that we are hopefully back on track with the intended purpose of the thread!!!  Maybe Dennis could give us an update?

Nothing to talk about right now! It is still sitting and waiting for a turn in one of the dyno cells.

I wonder what that AMC 401 is saying, all alone in dyno room closet. All the newer toys much shinier. But it's been loved. All the paint worn off, rusted from days lugging around its family, tucked under the hood of the family wagoneer... Or in its youth, turning over a couple tires on hot asphalt, summer of 72. Now this thing is ready to be Reborn. Free of restrictions. Ready to Ramble on. Sing its song.

I better go start my day.

Hahaha!! Worst of all it's surrounded by GM's, Ford's and Mopar's,---- oh my!!

No family hauling for this 401 !! It was never in a Jeep either!!
This 401 started it's life in a 1972 LAPD Matador Police car.
I pulled it out myself!
