Hi Dennis,
any thoughts on how the Pro-Flo 4 system will tolerate a cam with a bit of overlap?

I know computer control systems usually prefer nice stable, wide lobe center cams,
I'm thinking a smallish cam with fairly tight lobe centers like this 108:

^in an otherwise stock 401 with Eddy heads.

Probably want to be closer to 12-14 degrees lobe separation, but your question would be better answered by one of our EFI guys. 1 (800) 416-8628 and ask for Steve Mitchell.

thank you Smile

I am very much looking forward to this. For several years I'd been thinking about EFI, or even just an air-gapped torker.
even looked into a custom tunnel ram with EFI bosses.

All these options were silly-expensive. Now all I need to do is wait a while, then write a check for a few hundred dollars :)

No, not really!
Yesterday I brought down one of my 401's to use for the dyno testing.
It's a really low mileage engine, but our engine builder will go through it and check it out (reconfigure) before any dyno pulls.

Dennis, does this PROFLO 4 have bigger/longer runners than the last EFI manifold?

Not sure on that until we get into it further. Need to see how the first prototype we made works.
