Clutch Pedal Assembly Over Center Spring.

This spring was reverse engineered from an original, NOS spring and verified against a used original. It was formed with quality steel and then properly heat treated for strength. Overall length is approximately 9.75 end to end. It is the correct spring for both 3 speed and 4 speed transmission/pedal combinations.

This spring aids in a smooth transition of the clutch pedal. It mounts to the clutch/brake pedal assembly that is located under the dash. If you are lucky enough to locate a clutch pedal setup, most of the time this spring is missing.

Here are the models that this spring is designed to fit:

1966 American (232 or V8)
1967-70 American and Gremlin (232 or V8)
1969 Hurst SC/Rambler
1970 Rebel Machine
1968-70 Javelin and AMX (6 cylinder and V8)
1967 and up Rebel, Marlin and Ambassador with V8
1967-70 Rebel and Ambassador (Heavy Duty with 232)
1968-70 Rebel (Export Model, Left Hand Drive with 232 engine)
1968-70 Rebel (Left Hand Drive 232, except heavy duty)

Note: this does not fit 1967-70 Rebel (Right Hand Drive, 232 with standard transmission)

Original AMC part number for this spring was Group 5.155-3 Part # 3177793
