Can anyone tell me where on the vehicle the neutral safety switch is located on a 62 Rambler Classic with the push button 3 speed trans? It would stand to reason that it would be on the transmission, however the only logical place that I seem to be able to find is on the rear of the trans about 1/2" above the pan. It has a plug (pipe plug) in it that looks a half a million years old.... I looked up the switch and it shows a switch that looks and operates like an oil pressure switch, likely disabling the starter circuit when line pressure in present. Guess it would be simple enough for me to screw in a gauge and check to see what happens at that port... Also, the red wire that belongs to it is conveniently unplugged near the oil pressure sending unit, with no left overs to give me any idea of where it was supposed to go... Thanks in advance for any help, Mason
