When I got the car it had the heater box and blower assembled and sitting in the trunk. I need to put heat back in and I still have the blower motor, heater core and some of the ducting plus the ac vent/package tray. I plan on fabbing a simple compact enclosed box and route the heat with a simple on/off relay circuit. What I don't know is if the blower would work better as a pusher or puller system.
Also if any one knows how to plum heater houses on a chevy small block that has an electric water pump that would be super! Thanks for your time. |

What's the goal here? Do you plan to put A/C back in the car? If not, I'd suggest finding a non-A/C setup.
The stock fan is a pusher only. Like any V8, coolant coming from the manifold would be hot or "out to heater core" and coolant leading to the pump would be "in to engine". |

No AC just heat, mainly just defog but since I have the package tray I might as well plumb the heat to it.
The problem with the electric pump is that it doesn't have a bung to plumb into for the return line. |

I could be wrong, but I would try a water outlet from the thermostat housing with a bung in it large enough to accept a heater hose. I know for a fact the they are available and most likely at a parts store near you.

After looking Ford makes the perfect set up. But I doubt it would fit on a Chevy. Did not see a Chevy specific application. There is always a drill and tap option.
