Hi, i need help to dentify my Rambler 1969 gearbox.
This is the only brick i could find, its on the driver side of the gearbox.

it's the little Borg Warner M35. likely the air-cooled model; there should be a funny sheet steel duct thing on the passenger (right) side of the bell housing. it could be all banged up (or missing, which would be bad). if there are two steel lines from pan to radiator it's the model with fluid cooling (unlikely).

it's a fine transmission, quite rebuildable. you must keep the throttle cable adjusted correctly. if you do, it's good for 100K miles. if not, you could kill it in 10K.

you really need to have the factory technical service manual for that car... it's a weath of info and pics. Haynes type generic repair manuals are fairly useless.
