I will throw in my $.02..only a 2 year member so no stroke here,
not a racer so even less stroke.

We attend because it is a AMC event, I get to see different vehicles and its a vacation for us. We will be attending the Kenosha event next year and will not attend Cordova as its the same road to both.

If the NAMDRA event is changed to say; Ohio, Indiana, then we would be much more likely to attend. A different vacation route and it should draw different vehicles too.

Having AMC Fun,
Ollie

Since Byron and Rt 66 (Joliet) were both mentioned, I'll just share a tidbit of information. I am a fan of Byron. It's a more laid-back atmosphere, and the owners are really nice people. A downside though is the track does not have any lighting. They cannot race past dusk, which would eliminate the usual Friday night events.

I live 5 minutes from Rt 66 and run their points races, and honestly cannot see them being very accommodating to smaller events like ours...but I could be wrong

Along with Byron , Milan is a possibility if the Detroit guys would not mind. I've been to Milan and it's nice.
Tracks like Route 66 are the kind of first class tracks you are NOT going to get unless you can show up with $5,000 to $10,000 in up front money to even talk to them ! Based on a bad past experience with out going into a long story. LRDaum

Milan is my home track so I am a little biased.  I think they could host the event without much worry.  But no matter where you go, the track's schedule could be a challenge.  Trying to keep it the same weekend may be impossible.

Here's a map of all the dragways.  A lot of possibilities.

Milan would be great. They love us AMC'ers and have been known to brag about us over the intercom whenever we are around. (Stickshifter, Ketchums, and Mr. Bies never hear it because they never take their helmets off)
