I had posted a photo earlier in the topic to show the tubs I had installed in the Gremlin. This is the same photo, but it has a few arrows added. Knowing I wouldn't be using the lifts for the back glass or the plastic surround, I came up with a different idea.

I decided to fill those areas in and eventually paint everything.......

Some of the holes could just be welded up while others needed metal.......

I know it will need some filler to smooth it all out, but I'm thinking I'll be happy with the end result.

I really like what you have done so far.  The Gremlin needs a name.

The side windows, rear hatch, roof rack, rear spoiler and gas cap contributed to the appeal of all Gremlins and wanted to keep all of them.
I thought of many names for the Gremlin........one of which is RSX 401. I had also considered naming her Ruby II.
This was Ruby......

Hey Rick,

When you welded the hood on, did you just wrd it on top og the other or did you cut it out and use that flange/recess tool? Got any other pics of the work involved?

The hood was cut to fit the shape of the scoop. Neither the hood nor the scoop were flanged. After I got the fit I needed, the scoop was tack welded then stitched welded. It also involved a lot of grinding.
There was some warping, but those areas were heated with a torch, hammered flat and cooled with a wet towel. The area around the scoop was covered with an all-metal filler. Once it was sanded, it was finished with a skim coat of body filler prior to applying the primer.

I had other photos, but lost them when my computer crashed a few weeks ago.
