Allen at AZ Kustom Koncepts has done an awesome job finishing the fabrication work so it's time to pick her up and her do a few things under the hood before sending her out for headers and exhaust.

The four link with relocated leafs looks really good! Had to go back through the photos again. Excellent job "mini tubbing" too. Just all around great work! The sliders may be a bit noisy though. I see you used bearing sliders instead of the nylon block type. They might not be as bad. I didn't know they were somewhat noisy until it was pointed out by the guy building a Spirit GRM car (in projects or Frnakenrambler.... using a Ford 5.0L for power). He's using the nylon block type. I guess on open hot rods or loud exhaust muscle cars it doesn't matter, but on something quieter it might. Other than rubber mounting the sliders not much you can do. Puck type motor mounts would work, but would raise the slider up about an inch.
Something like this, but they are 1.5" tall at the pad. You've already done a lot of mods... could recess the area where the slide is... The front mount for a 58-63 American has a single stud and a flat plate on the bottom, not sure what they go for now. They are about 1" thick, maybe as little as 3/4"... Of course there are many motor mounts that would work with some fabrication work on the slide frame and/or sill on the car ("frame" rail), doesn't have to have a stud on top... |

Thanks Farna. I didn't know they had different sliders. This is what Calverts sent with the rest of the Caltrac leaf spring kit I ordered. I didn't think about noise either. I hope they won't be to noisy. Thanks for the info. Could come in handy if they're to noisy as well as my next build.

Allen used these nice braided brake line hoses when doing the new lines on the rear. Parking brake working great too.
