I am a big fan of BBB. There is something very nice about that color.  I wonder if there is a pearl version of it similar to the pearl green on your car?

Changing colors at different viewing angles or sun reflection is one of the beauties of pearls.  Another is that pearls hide imperfections better than other colors (solids or metallic).

I would imagine there are pearl blues in various hues on the market now.  I used to shoot a lot of pearl back in the 80's (tri-coat before it came from the manufacturers).   It's almost impossible to match a pearl when doing spot repairs.  At that time I used to buy a variety of pearl colors by the quart from PPG.  I must have had about 10 different pearl colors in the shop for any application.  Back then I added  pearl to the clear after a basecoat was applied.  Then topcoated with clear.

Now crushed glass is another story altogether.
