Hi guys, I took my 71 Javelin to the race track last weekend.
Car weighed 3228. I was surprised as I never stripped nothing of the car to lighten. I run a 385 hp 343, 9.3 compression. 904 auto with a stall converter that would foot brake to about 3200. Has 2.5" duals through Thrush turbos and 2" tail pipes. 2.87 gears and on 27" tall Cooper Cobra radial 60's. I ran a best of 13.64 @ 98.7 and never got into drive. 5900 rpm shifts I did burnouts and never spun a tire. What do you guys think it would run with a 3.54 gear?  |
