Drill through what you have and install a 3/8" bolt and nut. It will hold way more than what your going to throw at it. Or just buy a piece of 6061 aluminum and remake the center.

Just so I understand,
are the V8 block mounting holes themselves good, and the frame side needs beefing up?

I know some engines (like the 4.0L Jeep*) have torn the mounting bosses off the engine itself, and aftermarket mounts are made that spread out the load to the block better,
but we're talking about strengthening the mount itself and how it bolts to the car(?).

Thanks.

edit:
*example of extended 4.0L brackets to deal with block boss mounting strength:

3904speed,
what are you planning for a transmission mount with 600HP + NOS and the T-10?

Do they make a poly mount for us, or are you running a custom rear crossmember at this point anyway or ?

(600+ is a lot for a T-10, but that's probably something for a different thread)

Might be easier than fabricating them yourself.

I used some years ago when I had a stock chassis.

Yes running standard tranny cross member. I am hoping the AMX is light enough to keep the t-10 together. We live in the north and our streets are normally dirty. Limited time will be spent at track, just get too busy. I believe we will put a bolt through drivers side insert.
Thanks and Godspeed

It's a crying shame this company doesn't offer versions for AMC.  I know a few people running these on Mopars and they are the cat's rear end.
