Hey all,
I am working with a group in Detroit in searching for a red AMC convertible to be used Friday and Saturday during the cruise.  Parking and cruising, owner can drive the car, etc.
I have a call into a Toledo friend with his but just in case, any others?  My local Rambler convertible owners have commitments.
I can share more information upon securing one.  But an AMC in the front row at Dream Cruise will be a dream come true for me!
Thanks
Richard

Confirmed today with the Detroit Pistons that I have a convertible for them to use!
A member here has a 1962 Rambler red convertible, just like the one from 3rd Rock from the Sun!
Their person is contacting them and I will let you know if it is a go!

Wanting the car (and driver) for Friday and Saturday to display at the Detroit Pistons spot on Woodward Ave.  Attaching some magnetic signs with Piston logos, he'll have to cruise once in a while with some Piston cheerleaders in tow too.

I know a lot of folks don't want their car used for good reasons, but been trying for years to get coverage of Greenmead.  In 2010 learned that the TV stations decide the night before what news stories that they can cover.  So maybe this year?

Update that the Rambler convertible and the details could not be worked out with the owner.  Understand that!  At least we tried to get airtime...

Taping the Dream Cruise and watching the big night show, never see the AMC's on camera.  Thinking that next year we ALL need to get together and do like the truck drivers and form an AMC Blockade to get noticed!
