Here is my change to adapt the Ford Mustang plate for mounting on the big body AMC brake location points.

I left the hydroboost rear seal weep channel in place, though you will need to modify to where the weep hole will be placed. It seems that Mustangs will weep at the interior side of the fire wall. I prefer to drill a hole on the plate to drip out from the engine side. It will also add a means for moisture release.

Since the plate was made offset, either by manual placement during manufacture or by assembly tolerance at stamping stage, I chose to make the plate symetric while eliminating extra areas of touch up welding. Notice the bottom right hole will be the only remnant of the bottom 3, Mustang mounting holes.

To utilise the plate with the oem mounting studs, an aluminum 1/2" spacer plate must be used to allow for the top right stud to be trimmed off 1/8" above the nut for clearance, as the hydroboost unit blocks any fastener use at that area.

The two holes on top must be enlarged and elongated for 3-1/2" spacing, it looks like 01 to 04 Mustangs use 3-1/4" spacing.

Here is my cut lines and drill locations.
