I have posted a few pics before, but I'll start a thread on this project. I have about three active repair projects going on right now (all old Ramblers) but this project is the most active.   First are some pictures when she rolled off the trailer.  Then various pictures of current condition.  Thus far I have shined most of the chrome and put a coat of protective wax on it.  Washed the car.  Pulled the fuel tank and exchanged it for a reconditioned one.  Replaced the fuel pump with a rebuilt one, cleaned up the distributor and replaced the points and condenser.  I replaced both tail light lenses.   She runs and doesn't smoke and has no unusual noises.   This car sat in a garage in San Jose since the mid - 1990s. She was a one owner car.   195.6 OVH with 3-speed overdrive transmission.  I need to install the reconditioned gas tank and fuel sender, torque the head bolts, completely overhaul the brakes.  Then she should be ready for the road.   The body work will come later.

Other than the hood, it looks like all it needs is a good cleaning. Did something fall on the hood?

Nice to meet you Leona. Tell your new owner the general consensus here has deemed those Fram filters to be bad news.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Maybe Fram should use that as their slogan. Smile

I normally steer clear of Fram but that's the filter that was on Leona when I got her.  She has another one now because the PB50 is the only one I know of which has the backflow valve and can installed inverted.  Even many Ferrari's use Fram PB50s.  Anyone know another brand with a backflow valve?
