my biggest headache is finding a screen,it's actually nearly impossible to source one I sort of have a plan B for that if I can't get one that doesn't cost less than the car,LOL

Go on Facebook Dan Curtis /AZ AMC Restorations is making a run of reproductions of the tinted windscreen......this might get you going again.

Let me know if you need anything else.

spent days and days ont his ,changed leads ,dizzy, cleaned carb,it actually started sometimes ,low compressions, it wasn't adding up.I had a feeling it was camshaft timing though in lots of years of starting up old motors never came across this before.the clues were ,all cylinders had low compression ,of the 4 new tyres (years old)one had a burnout down to the wires, all wiring to the donk was cut, even power steer hose was cut !instead of unbolting,
look closely and you will see chain so stretched that it doesn't even bind all the way around the sprocket!

Was the chain just loose or had it slipped a gear tooth or two?

suspect an over rev when a burnout down by a previous owner made it slip ,however prob due to stretched chain ,it was 1/2 a link longer than the new one ,haven't seen such a loose chain before especially as the car has only done 83000 miles, under the rockers was like new.
