This ad was in a 1969 Baltimore Orioles game program/scorecard.

Nice, amx66rr... I grew up in Baltimore. Oriole Rambler on Belair Rd would have been closest to me, and a schoolmate chum's dad either owned it or worked there.

blumontag, I grew up in Harford County. I always thought having 5 AMC Dealers in one county was nuts. They were all very small stores compared to the dealers in Baltimore. My Dads place was a Hudson Dealer when he purchased in 1954

Five...that is a bit overkill!
By chance, are you at all related to the Kilduff that has a great website of Baltimore history?

http://www.kilduffs.com/Baltimore.html
Lots of photographs, divided into categories like airports, amusement parks, buildings, car dealerships, roadside motels, social clubs, etc...from Baltimore's past. Stirs lots of memories! Couldn't find info about who curates the website, or why it is called "Kilduffs".

Interesting that only the Baltimore area dealers were included.
There were a lot of AMC dealers in the Md-Washington DC. area also. Orbit in Brentwood Laurel in Laurel Hillcrest in Hillcrest Heights Courtesy in Bethesda/Rockville Tilghman in Waldorf Trinidad in DC. Montrose Jeep in Rockville Ron. |
