I have a 69 Javelin with a Borg Warner m 12, does anybody have any pictures of how to properly install the new trans lines in the correct place with the mounting tabs shown. Would really appreciate it.

Ohio AMX, that is perfect for what I need. Thanks so much, hate to ask but could you send those photos to my e-mail so I can print them?

Rod, just right mouse click on the picture and hit "save as" then open up your explorer and save the image wherever you want. You can then open it and print it. :)
PS are you installing new lines? If so there were different lines used. There are different connections to the soft lines to the rad.

I am looking to identify which tranny port on my M12 is the output port of the transmission (back or front). After a medium HP 390 rebuild my engine is running very hot. I would like to install an external tranny oil cooler. The cooler needs to be installed on the tranny output line before going to the radiator to cool down first time and then go to the radiator for the second reduction of heat.

I know this is an old post, but since it's been brought up, I think the M12 in a Javelin or AMX only uses hard lines to the radiator. The aluminum case M40 on a Javelin (n/a on an AMX) will have flexible/rubber lines between the radiator and the hard lines. Not sure why, but that's what I've observed. |

These are hard line from the tranny to the radiator and connect to the rad with NPT adaptors of both lines (5/16" ?). On the tranny one line goes to fitting by the filler tube and the other goes in at rear of case about 8" back for the other. I am thinking that the one by the fill tube is the output since it is close to the internal pump ?

My M11B has soft lines, when buying the new lines there was options on what ends you needed. I replaced with what was on the car, which I "assumed" were correct as I can't imagine replacing lines back int he 70's/early 80s when the car was last on the road.

Ok, do you know which port on your tranny is the oil output line (sometimes called the hi pressure line).

Front line is the feed to the cooler, rear line is the return.
