Lowering a 69 Rambler

The only issue I see with this would be how cheap we AMC people can be
There would be a lot of work to do this. After you had a blue print that someone made ($) you would have to have the part cast so you have molds that would need to be made and maybe replaced after so many cast and the pour ($$$).
Then you have machine work needed to fit the ball joints in and the 4 bolt holes drilled etc. again ($$$)
So how much $$ and many would buy them?? I see a post for repopped AMX flares at $700. Thing is they need to sell X number just to start and they cant so how do you think this would go?
To have a set of plates made I would think between $50 - $100 and the $100 being on the high side. I know someone had some extras made and sold them and the price was not bad.
