im working on a 71 javelin and need the lower fender nut, that goes into the body to hold the the bottom of the fender in place. Where can I get these?

Aren't they capture nuts? You could try the larger auto hardware internet sites for ones that would work.

They are not a capture nut, they are a special clip with acme threads and a unique size hole in body.

In a pinch you can use an upper fender clip held in place by a single screw.

Are replacement screws available anywhere?  One was missing and I thought I was seeing something when I took the bolt out.

The original bolt is the same as the upper attachment bolt on the fender...

Ross,
The fenders on my car were slapped on with 5/16-18 nuts and bolts. The clips in the inner fenders (to mate with the fender bolts) were missing, so I wasn't sure what to look for. I'll check out the specialty suppliers.
