Another post was removed because it "quoted" the post in question in full, including the huge file size photos.
When quoting, please remove the photos from the quoted material, and quote just the text, otherwise you have the same photos loading several times in multiple post, and in this case, they were just far too large in file size - over 800K each.
Thanks.

I found this over at http://route66rambler.com/forum/forumview/misc/consolidated_dealership.htm

GLENDALE

91204, Division AMC/Jeep, 620 S. Brand (213) 244-4151

91204, Division Imports, Renault, 819 S. Brand (213) 241-5101

Can't say for sure, but I bet Glendale AMC later became Division AMC/Jeep. The only way to find out is to go to the public library in Glendale and peruse old newspaper ads.

Ron, why don't you call the Glendale public library and see if a reference librarian will help you. They may have newspapers on microfiche available on interlibrary loan or other business related references that will help you.   Joe

The dealer my '65 Marlin came out of was known as Sam's Friendly Service, as you can see by my original warranty card with the original owners name and address on it.

This dealer was located at 151 South Ave., Bridgeton, NJ. There is an empty lot where the dealer used to be.

when i was traveling, used an old AMC dealership listing booklet found inside the glovebox with other AMC owner papers.   Got a sign from a dealership in Wisc.    One dealer still in business up there just working on used cars.   Found a dealership in PA near WIlkes Barre Scranton area, still in business also, son inherited from his Dad.    Found an old one near Uniontown PA, the old guy still goes to work everyday but just sits behind a desk, no work is done, just maintains it as a keepsake.  Another old man sits and talks with him but his hair is dyed black ! crazy site !   I take pictures of all the places.   Got to get them posted up here.   Can't figure out how to post the pictures easily.. i'm one of them gray haired guys !

I have recently made contact through farcebook with the daughter of the gentleman who owned Gress AMC/Jeep in Madison, Ohio. I hope to have some pix and history soon. I'll post as soon as I have something.
