I looked at Dorman's catalog. I was about to buy the 610-092 stud. Then, I found a pair of hub and rotors ready to go after a good clean up. My research indicated the .624" dia knurl might be the correct one. If you type .624 in the search window it will take you to the thread I started.

I've read that the studs were pressed in and swaged at the factory, so just pressing them out could damage the hub and/or the studs. The correct method is to remove the swage first (by cutting or milling) and then pressing out the studs.

Galvin's has the correct studs at $2.75 each, so $27.50 for a set of 10. You should ALWAYS change out the old studs with new ones -

Galvin's Rambler AMC p/n 08-8470 1965-70 wheel studs for front disc brake rotors. (Bendix 4 piston type) $2.75 each

The 68-69 AMX front disc brake wheel stud size seems to be a closely guarded secret. In the last couple years a vendor or member should have stated with absolute certainty what the dimensions are or Dorman's part#. I have read many posts and searched for this information to no avail.

I don't know about AMC but with Mopar, once the stud loses it's fit in the hub a new identical stud won't be any better than the one you removed.  It's either new hub time or oversize stud time.

If the studs fall out, it might be a replacement hub and rotor. In the 68-69 AMX, the studs hold the rotor and hub together, so it is critical the fit is perfect. Replacement rotors are easy to find, but not so the hub. It is difficult to find good used ones.

Question still remains. What is the size of the factory 68-69 AMX disc brake wheel stud size? What is the size of the knurl diameter? I have a perfectly good pair of original rotor/hub assemblies. I want to press out the wheel studs and replace with wheel studs 1/4" to 1/2" longer. No need to go to a larger size. So what is the knurl diameter and the shoulder length. Again, is this a closely guarded secret? Or a mystery that we will never have an answer to?

I`ll measure mine when I get them.
Also heard of someone saying the original studs were swagged in.Not sure what that means ,but say`s that has to be removed before knocking out old studs or you`ll ruin the holes in the hub which I think someone did to mine.
