Think this has been covered in past postings but thought I`d ask too.My studs are loose in hub.
69 Javelin front disc brake wheel hubs......Does anyone make new ones that will work with existing rotor? or different kind of studs? Thanks |

Will the studs come out? If they come out just put some red lock-tite on the serrations, reinsert, and put the wheel back on. That should solve your problem, unless you are getting vibrations due to loose studs?

There is a green loctite called sleeve retainer that might work better

I would get new studs. APD has them. Make sure you get the 68-69 studs. How do I know? I had a front wheel fall off once. If they come out easily, fine, but don't pound them out as this can ruin the hub. I took mine to a shop and for $50 they used a press and replaced them properly.

Tried the red already.....will see.Don`t think its gonna work.
Just recently got the car.....just trying to go over things on it. Couple of the studs just fell out of hub.Think they are right studs.....hub holes might be wore out. Someone mentioned ARP studs.....that they were a little bigger dia.. Will probably have to find some hubs eventually.....not really driving the car right now. Also thought someone mentioned Hornet or Concord hubs.Just wondered if there are any hubs that I could still get new that will work with my rotor/spindle. |

Just a suggestion, look in the Dorman catalog for an equivalent stud with a slightly larger serrated OD and press it in.
