1,000 to 1,500...go with a performer intake..600 carb...a summit cam kit..duel exhaust..and a rear/gear swap... Plus a 100 shot(don`t be greedy)...it will be like a different car...Then save up for a transmission..

Consider the cheap supercharger route and then an eventual engine swap. My plans involve the Indy IC-401 block and a set of Edelbrock heads. Still on the fence about cam and carbs but it shouldn't matter after the rest of this is redone.

I've been kicking around this idea of the GM 3.8 blower on a 304. The mfgr Eaton says there're good to 5 liters. Maybe an Offy dual quad manifold modified or with an adapter. The blowers are readily available for cheap. Any thoughts?

Hey Boris, how long would the extension cord need to be for the electric leaf blower/supercharger?

I have found that torqstorm has probably about the best bolt on single centrifugal SC for the price but I have no idea how well it works. I almost went with the twin unit but opted instead to go procharger D1SC.

Anyway, if you are on a budget turbos are cost effective especially if you are handy with metal fab.

You mean the M62 series we see on junkyard Pontiacs? Those are something I looked into for the 4.0L and 258 but went overboard with displacement at 285. There seems to be a runoff somewhere near the 260ci mark where performance has a considerable drop. It's fine for the 5L but at that point I would be looking for the M90.

Yeah. I was thinking of the Pontiac one. I've seen they can be souped up by porting. What was the M90 fitted to?

Now I am thinking dual Toyota super chargers for the 3.0L V6. They are the worst ever TRD upgrade ever. Mainly because of the intake redesign that was fabbed by some company in Africa or what not. Definitely not Japanese made, but the super charger is. Just make a custom intake from a offy and mount them bad boys on top drawing from dual side draft carbs or a tbi kit.

I bet them things are cheap as they kill motors by melt down or just gave up trying. There are threads on trying to get them to run, but outside of plumbing the ecu and mapping don't equate well with too much boost, which makes stock boost too costly for what it is.

Just found this... I were doing a 304 / 360 build, I'd get this. For $600 new I'd make it work.

There are some excellent Lithium battery leaf blowers.

No chord needed.
