I've searched this forum for info on how to remove the back seat bottom (on a 1971 Hornet) but didn't find anything. I've found that there are mounting hooks welded to the floor beneath the seat and you push inward and up and then pull out. I'd tried for 30 minutes to get mine out like that but it's not budging, it feels like it's bolted in. Does anyone have any secret to removing it? I don't want to rip the seat trying to get it out.

there might be 2 tabs with screws into the floor that have to come out first. ive seen them on the other end of the seat if you know what i mean.

Push on the bottom seat frame and lift, may have to move to each side to release the bottom. The seat back has bolts to hold in place at bottom, and will be seen when the bottom is removed.

Move the front seat as far forward as it will go.
Get into the back, put your knee as far down as you can get it, about a foot from the side,  push straight back, then pull up.   Do this on each side.

It sometimes helps to grab the bar at the front and push it down, back and then up. Just like this video of a GM:

Hmm, thanks guys, I'll give it a try. I was thinking there might have been some bolts that I needed to loosen from under the car.
