Can anyone suggest a solid flat tappet cam. I have a Crane 248-258 @ .050 with .531-.555 lift at 112 LS. Not sure if my cam will be enough with the work I'm doing to my engine

Personally, I'd send the heads to Adkins as well as a torker intake. Have him do the heads and give you a cam recommendation. He is very knowledgeable, does things fast and is affordable. Andy

Knowlton's Thunderheads ported my edelbrock heads. I would check them out. My 3100 lb. Gremlin will go 10.10  131 mph 1/4 with 12 to1 comp. 9inch slick, I think there in Minnesota.

Just back from muscle car shootout in Brainard, MN.
2 weeks prier to going I decided to put in a roll bar (84 lbs).
Temp was 85-90 deg with 9 mph head winds and 80-90 percent humidity the whole weekend. I found with my new combo I had to get up on the converter so hard at one point I started spinning the tires. That got me to 11.28 @ 116.9. Also left with both wheels in the air.
That's the fastest I ever went at that track. Without loading the converter to 3500 I was 11.50's. I think I need either some converter work or a trans break.
Going to Rock Falls on the 27th should be good air, see what happens.

Have you thought of putting a 2 step in it to take the pressure of the converter?

What cam did you end up going with?

A good converter can work wonders for you, and be sure the trans is in good shape! Slippage up top will wreck both your E.T. and your MPH. I run a JW converter in my 727, they did an excellent job of building it. Watching my Go Pro footage, my 5000 stall converter is stalling at exactly that.. 5K.

I have a TCT converter 9.5" that I had built for my old combo from my dyno sheets. Then sent it in one to loosen it approx 500 rpm's. It has a billet cover and anti- ballooning plate. I can foot brake to 4300
