Lets Go Nostalgia Pro Stock Racing

We are highly impressed with the numbers and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Mark and I talked about it and somehow if we say the numbers there will be something negative said. "Oh those numbers are made up, why isn't it faster, I don't believe it, AMC's can’t make those kind of numbers..yada yada yada". We like to be positive about what we do and keep it that way. Way too many arm chair racers and that includes ourselves at times. Final numbers are not important but the results are and we are trying to do the best we can. We love what we are doing and hopefully our group keeps growing and we keep representing our AMC's in a positive light. I hope everyone can understand and respect that.

I just finished reading this post topic Just wanted to say I have a 1979 Spirit, It Is a old pro stock car built back in 79. its ben change around a little, but still almost the way it was built accept for a engine and trans change eng. is a sbc 355 alcohol injected motor and power glide trans. I only run 1/8 mile with car it runs 5.85 , 1.23 60 ft. at 115.mph, there is a lot of very nice AMC's on this thread. good luck and have fun Gary

I GOT THIS CAR AS A PARTIAL TRADE FOR A SUPER GAS CAR 6 MONTHS AGO. It WAS A ROLLER THAT NEEDED SOME WORK, THE OLD OWNER RACED THE CAR FOR THE LAST 15 YR'S, THE CAR WAS ORIGONLY RED WHITE AND BLUE.WE DID SOME BRAKE REPAIR AND CHASSIES WORK ON CAR. PUT MOTOR AND TRANS IN CAR. I WILL SEE IF I CAN FIND OUT WHO BUILT CAR. THANKS GARY I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH POSTS TO ADD PIC.S TO SIGHT.

Off to the AMC Nationals. I will post pics after the meet. It should be lots of fun. I will bring my Original AMC Pro-Stock heads to show to those interested!
