Just wondering if any one knows the Spring Rate & Weight capacity of the Rambler American Leaf Spring. Im trying to Switch Springs To Something not stock thinking A mono leaf or a Split mono

That info is in the rear axle/suspension section of the TSM. All pre 70 TSMs have spring info, 1970+ don't.

Caltrac can make a mono spring and they have all the rates. Proplem is it has to 2.5 inch spring. I moved my springs inward of the frame rails for more tire clearance so stepped up to the wider spring........Jim.

From the '65 American TSM:

# of leafs    loaded height       rate lbs. per inch after loaded weight

4 (light)     1-1/4" @ 680lbs           91 lbs
5 (optional)    1/4" @ 745lbs           102 lbs
5 (light)       1/4" @ 745lbs           102 lbs
5 (optional)    1/4" @ 780lbs           120 lbs

Crossramrambler,

I am in the beginning stages of moving my springs in a couple inches on each side. Would you mind sharing another picture of the mounts, so that I could deduce how that was done?
