Brat Stop, Brat Stop, Brat Stop...Like we did in the past..No host hotel, its private property, no banquet...Just the cooperation of the restaurant...No pre-registration or any of that crap...not even a vendors fee...Need the local guys there in Kenosha to look into this...The one next year can happen too....but we really need something...Hope someone can take the lead and make it happen !!!!

My brother Mark and I put that show on at THE BRAT STOP and the following year we moved it to the Kemper center. The Brat Stop was to small and the owner was unpleasant to work with. The following year the number of cars grew from 117 to 175 and about 30 vendors. You can't put a show on without a preregistration, you need to know who's coming to set up the show field. You also can't put a show on for no fees. The Kemper center was not free and you needed permits, DJ and porta potties. We also did a lot of advertising which cost money. The reason the Kenosha show is no more is not from lack of participation , but from the lack of help. Mark , myself and our wives did 95% of the work. We reached out for help several times and virtually got nothing. With the exception of Bill Strobel. With the demise of AMCWC there is no longer an insurance policy to cover the show, so now it would cost even more. The show became a burden and was no longer fun so we quit doing them. I would imagine if a show was held this year it would approach 300 cars and 40 vendors. Way to much work for four people to do. Mike knapp.

I live nearby so I have attended the Kenosha shows from about 1976 when it was at Carthage College to the Kemper Center which was a blast to the lakefront at Kennedy Park. Man, those were the days.....Used to love the banquet ceremony at the Italian joint......Still have some photos of the Carthage event.....Kenosha is the bomb for AMC.....Everything else is just appeasement......3rd week of July was my entire existence.......Never placed less that 4th in modified......

The Kemper Center was a cool show under the trees. Definitely becsome too small as the years went on. Brat had a lot of space but lots of blacktop and no shade. Kennedy Park is the best of both worlds. Sorry it became so stressful Mike.

I'm one of those folks who benefited from all those good shows, without rolling my sleeves up and offering to pitch in. Thanks to Mike and family and all who have made such good homecomings happen over the years! And for 2021, let's all commit to chipping in as needed so there can be a great show that results from a great sharing of effort.

Bummed that they cancelled it. This would have been our first one. By the time it comes around again we will be living in Arizona and dont see us traveling that far for the show. Well it was fun while it lasted. Donated our registration instead of the refund.

Since we are in Minnesota, we get the latest update on the Covide numbers in Wisconsin and the fact that the state is starting to open up due to the number going down. Any chance Kenosha would change their mind and have the show? It was suppose to be in in July and that's 6 plus weeks from now? Maybe the Wisconsin people can keep us informed? Steve

Absolutely not... the state and our area in particular has been going through a surge ever since our State's election debacle last month.

The Little Express Warlock Club which will field 40 trucks and 8 vendors or so will not cancel in Pidgeon Ford TN! They are going no matter what! This is great to see other car clubs moving forward!!

Sad to hear that there's so many unintelligent people in that car club.
Also... What does that club have to do with the Homecoming show? That's just a useless comparison.
