$300 is only a little high if it's the early 2 piece carrier (power-lock), I paid $250 for the last one I bought. It is too much if it's the later one piece carrier (track-lock). The track-locks aren't known for their longevity, most need a rebuild after 20-30K miles.

If you need a tool and don't buy it...
you'll eventually pay for it...
and not have it.

Tracklocs only work when you apply brake and gas to engage them. That's why Jeep guys tend to call them trash-locs.

Hi all, I have 2 rear ends one is 2.87 the other is 3.15, the 3.15 came out a 4 speed car and were nice on the hiway but performance was a little shy so I'm looking at 3.54. When I had new mopars back when most 4 speed cars all came with 3.55 or better, rpms are about 200 to 300 more then like 3.15's so not too bad for the hiway. But I like 3'90 or 4.10's with my 4 speed cars. ( sorry old school, old man)
