Race 1 of 3. Jim came in at 4th. 1 sec behind 3rd place. Not a bad effort for the Javelin's debut race.
race 2 on Saturday morning and race 3 on Sunday morning. I didn't see the 1st race or know who came in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. sorry guys.

good on Jim! he is a great driver and a bloody nice guy , and its great he is driving something different ,
so my two bobs worth  .....would you rather see "another" mustang race car???? nup i doubt it ....i dont give a flyin fig wot block he has in it , maybe its got XU1 internals??? its on the trax,its damm competive , thats the main thang , lamen  |

Nice to hear the debut when well, an as I am sure there are some bugs to work out which only means things should get better. good luck on race 2 and race 3 keep us posted on the results

Looks like Jim's Javelin finished 4th, 4th, and 3rd in the the three heats, respectively. One thing I noticed was his fastest lap in the last race (3rd place in the 3rd race) was only 2nd fastest to Bowe's mustang's fastest lap from the 1st race. I think that shows the cars potential and perhaps Jim getting comfortable with the car. Definitely a good showing!!! Looking forward to seeing the races on youtube when they get posted and following his run through the season!!!

I managed to catch the final lap of race 3 today on the TV.
The Javelin was running 4th, right on the tail of 2nd and 3rd which got tangled up on the last corner and allowed Jimmy to slip through for 3rd. He actually got to second but was nosed out right at the chequed flag !! Wish I had found the motor racing coverage earlier !! |

There were some very nice photos placed up on the Touring Car Masters facebook page today. Probably about 6 or so excellent pics of Jim's Javelin in the mix, although the Youtube video still hasn't been uploaded. There are a few Youtube videos floating around from some spectators though. Nothing much, but a little something to pass the time until the race vids are uploaded.
