I was checking the Dwell  on my '65 Rambler the other day. the meter I have is a Dwell, RPM and volt meter.. so I set the dwell, checked the RPM and then hooked it up to the battery to check voltage.. running at idle I get over 14 volts, turn on the headlights and it drops to 12.2v, heater does not effect it... revv it up and it does go to about 13v... is this normal?
