I'm looking for a set of .010 327 pistons. Are they making them anymore. Seems like everyone is showing larger overbores but not .010

Egge may have some but if not, bore .020 over. It likely it is last time you'll build it anyway...

The bores are good, I was hoping to not have to bore it, just replace what's there.

Current pistons are .010 over and are the ones that came in the short block.

I'm getting a knock after reaching operating temp. You can hear it mostly from underneath not too much from topside. I just rebuilt it, but used the original pistons. It's got about 500 miles on the rebuild. The rods and crank all have new bearings that spec. out fine. Really the pistons are the only thing that wasn't replaced so I can't imagine it's anything else. There was one particular piston that was probably questionable. I'm thinking that's the one that's making the noise. It is number 6. I should have replaced them at the time.

Knurl the skirts? Does anyone even do that for "piston slap" anymore?
Buzzman72...void where prohibited, your mileage may vary, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

If you can find an 'old school' machinist that still has the skirt knurling tool that should work.  My old machinist (God rest his soul) had one that imprinted 'PC' on the skirts.  I always assumed that was for Perfect Circle but that is an assumption on my part.

I've been kinda thinking it's more likely a wrist pin noise. Any way to diagnose it? I'm going to pull some plug wires next time I get it going and see if that will narrow down the issue.
