Nice... did not know what a uniburr was until I saw the picture.
Here I thought you had found some old military 1/32 and 1/64 wrench sets. Ha! I happen to have a few in my wee box of spanners. |

Those are both really interesting tools. Do you have to have a CNC machine for the flowdrill? Or could you use a standing drill press?

From the website - The Flowdrill process works well in a standard drilling machine. The
age of the machine does not matter as long as it has the required
parameters for the desired hole diameter. For example High RPM, enough
power and a stable and exact spindle.
This would be a great alternative to using rivet nuts or nutserts in sheet metal. The Uniburr, sign me up. They even have a dealer only 350km away from me. I am heading to "the big smoke" tomorrow so I might have to grab one. |
