Can I remove the ignition key cylinder from a 73 hornet without the key.?

Yes but you need to remove the steering wheel, lock plate and turn signal switch. Under the turn signal switch is a place to depress a lock tab that will allow the tumble assy to come out.

Key has to be in the on position to press the locking tab
