Here is the 225/70R14 turned to where it rubs
I took off a 215/70R14 off my Ranger for measurements and it looks like it will fit. I couldn't put it on because the hole in the middle is too small I used Pythagoras to figure out the diagonal through the tire. 215/70R14: 25.9" wide, 6" tread, 26.59" diagonal 225/70R14: 26.4" wide, 7" tread, 27.31" diagonal that's a difference of .72", which is probably enough but pretty dang close! Under 3/8" smaller where it rubs |

Since you're doing bodywork anyway, I would just clearance the opening enough for the tire to clear. Shouldn't be too much work. Unless you don't wanna do any metal work, of course. |
