I just purchased a 71 AMC hornet with a 258. It's been sitting for 30 years. I am purchasing a 360 from an 88 jeep to swap in. What transmissions would be able to handle this?

Any 2wd TF out of a 2wd AMC car will work. Your engine being a 88 means if you have the original flexplate, you will have to get the nippondenso starter. Or get a flexplate our of a 72 up 360, and then you can use the motorcraft starter. Make sure the flexplate is for a 360. The trans out of the Jeep is a TF, and it can be rebuilt into a 2WD too.
