Just found my horn wire and trying to figure out how it connects at the steering wheel. Im guessing it goes through column with the other wires for turn signals but as far as how it gets terminated im not quite sure. Its possible i could be missing a part on the back side of my steering wheel. Anyone want to send me a picture of theres? Please and thank you

What year? Some early columns have different components to the turn signal switch which also holds the horn contact.
I would suggest posting a picture of what yours looks like and we can see exactly what you are missing. |

I have an NOS contact plate and horn ground wire I just bought from the guy in Scandinavia who has a stock of old Rambler parts and it does look like you need it. I did not need it for my 64 Classic. Send me $5 and your address and I'll be glad to send it to you. Just want to cover postage. I think the service manual has an exploded view of the parts below the steering wheel that activate the horn. I think you are going to need the little rod, insulated sleeve and spring (looks like a ballpoint pen spring) that fits in the steering column too. Check for that diagram in the service manual and let the forum know what you think is missing. Another option if you don't care about modifying your car is to put a pushbutton switch somewhere convenient to activate the horn. Joe
