I know thus is really going to sound like a new guy question. But I never really stopped to think about it till yesterday. I was at the local yard picking some parts from a an 69 ambassador, for my humpster javelin. And I got to wondering as I kept opening and closing the doors effortlessly if the hinges would transfer over to my javelins? And what about the door latch mechanisms? How many of the small incedential parts transfer from one car to the others? Are there some almost totally universal parts? I know all a lot in the engine bay. But I mean some thing on the bodies, interior, ect?

Outside door handles, mostly mechanicals under hood (valve covers, oil pan, timing cover) , rear axle gears.....rad is same core but different brackets, 69 Ambo to  71 up Jav not much would interchange........major changes happened in 1969.  A lot if interior fasteners, but no actual parts I can think of.

It looks like the interior door Handel's and mechs are the same. And the outside front Handel's seem to match up. But I was just curious if there were weird small parts That no one thinks of that would cross over to a bunch of other cars. Or were all mostly car specific?

The brake differential valve is always great to grab, just cut all the brake lines off, take the two 3/8" head hex screws out from the under mount bracket, there is always folks looking for them to rebuild.
