Hi, I need a bit of help
I´m working on the gearbox, wich isn´t working properly.  I think one of the problems could came from my throttle linkage wich it isn´t right .
A photo of my car (a 1973 AMX 360 Javelin with a 727 gearbox)

for what i see on the web, it sould be like this;

To be able to duplicate it I need help to get the measuments. Here is a photo of what i need

I´ll be very very gratefull.

I live in Spain and is imposible to find that spare here. I didn´t find it on the web in anyone knows here i can find it and the springs will be grate.
I´ll try to make that spare at home if I get the measurements, but the rigthts springs are gona be imposible to replicate, I only can do something similar.

Thanks again in advace for the help

This is a drawing I already have uploaded here that has some of the dimensions,
-BUT- I flattened the stock piece "kink" at the firewall end and added a hole to extend the reach
to work with a Torker Intake Manifold that is taller, and with a 1" Thick Phenolic Spacer,  and twisted compared to stock:

Tip - the throttle pressure valve link at the carburetor is slotted so that if the transmission TV linkage or anything in the transmission ever binds the throttles can return to idle. If it is not slotted and that linkage binds, then it holds the throttles open - perhaps WIDE open. So it's slotted at the point of connection to the carburetor. The other slot is for adjustment.
Another tip - that controls the internal pressures in the transmission and shift points - if that's not right, transmissions can be burned up due to lack of pressure.

Hey y'all, found I still have the AutoCad 2D Drawing above of the TorqueFlite Kickdown Carburetor Connector Link Plate on an old Pentium II 233 PC Machine...  So if someone wants to provide the dimensions of the stock features of those absent from my above drawing, I will update the drawing and re-post...  the Stock Kinked section at the firewall end with the tiny spring hole and the 2 holes forward of that spring hole, location and size, width, thickness off plate, etc... Thanks !

Pablo, is there any chance you can find a full size Jeep around in a salvage yard to get parts from? They are a good source for automatic trans kickdown linkage.

Does it have to be stockor stock looking?  Lokar has a trans throttle cable that gets rid of all the clunky moving/sliding parts.  Easy to install and adjust.

Lokat may not have an AMC specific listing, but any of the Mopar 727 cables will work. Much easier to adjust and keep that way than the stock linkage, not bolts that could work loose!

I think he wants to save some money and still use the stock setup. His fab skills are good enough to make it functional again.

I am not sure if Santiago has a 72 on up Javelin... been too long since i checked on his thread. You can contact Santiago and find out, 72 on up use the same bracket, and he may even make one up for you. Though it would not be too difficult on his part to make some measurements.

Santiago,

Im replacing my trans throttle with the cable, if you'd like my metal bracket with the slot (the assembly like your #2 picture)  PM me and I'll send it to you.
