Okay 1969 rambler 232 six the heater valve has gone out and leaking.  its not an original type its aftermarket plastic not really ever worked so i want a real mental one that goes on the car.  i can seem to find what kind it had and all the hose that i need.  i think it bolted to the fire wall and had a 90 that came out and went tot he heater core.  also think i had long 5/8 hose with a 90 that went to the valve that was a 90 as well.  im guessing based on photos i have ben able to find on wrecked cars or for sale.  any help on were to get one?

Have you tried to see if any of the AMC vendors carry one?

The 100% correct valve is rare & expen$ive. This should work as a substitute: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fss-74662?seid=srese1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIk-e4y6rq5QIVjuNkCh2tBwYCEAQYAiABEgLPPfD_BwE

The Summit valve will work but the original cable clip will not work with it. Functionally it is a good valve.

Located usually near Rochester, NY and sometimes central FL.

wow, thanks. I'm using Four Seasons 74627, a generic plastic job I mounted onto the salvaged bracket, but it does a poor job of throttling heat; even open a tiny bit is 75% heat. The lack of the right clip is unfortunate, but I'll work that out before I bolt it in. Gonna buy this 74662. Thanks a lot.

Napa carries some that can be adapted to work. A keyword search for "heater valve" in their computer should bring up lots of results you can sift through together. Otherwise, tell them to bring out the old Napa Temp Illustrated Guide.

Well I just ordered the Ranco-looking Four seasons 74662 part that Scott posted. I'll report back when it comes.
