Putting together a 70 AMX project. What goes around the heater core where it sits in the housing? I can't find anything in the boxes of parts. I would think that it would rattle around if just set in there.

It you buy the Heater Box Restoration kit by DMT (they sell on eBay), they are great to deal with and Jim makes a great kit. It has the sponge rubber seal that adhesives to the heater core, the seal to keep water from enter inside through the firewall and the foam seal on top of the core to keep the air from the cowl going through the heater core. They sell kit for 70 AMX cars with and without air.

I called and talked to Jim today. Ordered the appropriate kit. Very nice guy. I would recommend his service to anyone. We'll see how the kit fits and I will let you know. Thank you.

Kibler......the kits are done very well and are very complete. Jim is working on kits for 74-78 Matador for me now.....I sent him all the ducts and air boxes from one of my parts cars. It is nice not to see foam coming out of the ducts everytime you turn the blower on.
