Hi guys-

Long time no type...hope everyone is well!

Does anyone have a "how to" to bypass the heater core on a 73 Javelin AMX? It has a 401. I paid to have the heater core replaced a few years ago, but last time I started it, LOTS of antifreeze in the passenger floorboard. So, its bad again and I don't want the hassle of dash removal, etc., to get a new heater core installed.

Quick fix.  Disconnect the heater hose that runs from the engine to the firewall at the firewall.  Plug the hose with an old condenser and hose clamp and that should stop the flow of antifreeze to the heater......Bill

Run the hose from the back of the intake manifold to the outlet hose of the water pump. They are different sized but any parts store has a coupler with hose clamps

Agree, ? 5/8" to 3/4" ? Hose Reducer Coupling & Clamps, attach Manifold / Heater Valve to Water Pump.
Not sure if I would use a PLASTIC Hardware Store Coupling, brass might be better.
