I have taken posession of my brother's 76 Dj5 postal jeep. Rt hand drive, 232 with 727 trans. I have driven it around a bit and what a blast. It is getting a tune up this week then on to Craigslist. It is also in the For Sale section here on the Forum.

I saw it at the show and it looked great. Just curious, are there any legal issues having US Mail signs on it without it being a USPS owned vehicle?

If driven on the road I would think so. If just showing I would think no problem. Just my guess.

One of the Jeep dealers that I worked for use to buy those old mail Jeeps like that. We would lift them, throw on some bigger wheels and tires, a grill gaurd, and a paint job and they would get sold before we got them to the front lot. People could buy a Jeep cheap.
