Same shape, but I take 0.020" SS shim stock, 4 pieces, sandwich them in place and spot weld them together.
They never move around and sit well that way. They can be removed at a later date, for what reason I'm not sure.

Removed after ~20 years when I got a "fancy" pair of heads with the crossover filled with molten aluminum.
