I am collecting some information on performance of the high compression / 4bbl 327s in the smaller 63 - 64 bodies.

Anyone have some timeslips to share for a fairly stock setup?

Thanks!!

This will be interesting. Dell- Kraft Rambler campaigned a 63 back in the day.
Hot Rod magazine April 1963 tested a four door Ambassador showroom model with  the 327 270 4v 3:15.
Repeated 1/4 runs 17.5 sec.  track side tuning got it to 17.02

The campaigned car 63 was a 2door Ambassador with 4:11 and some engine work was a solid 14.2 car.

Kevin,

Look up Ed Miller...he is somewhere close to you.
If my memory is correct...he had a '64 2-door hardtop with a rather mild 327, and I believe he was running in the 13's. That was several years ago, and I lost his contact info...but I know his brother Bob is here on the forum.
It was a very good looking car, turquoise with a white top.
See if you can find him.
Good luck,

Hi my brother Ed Miller has a 1964 Rambler Classic 770 2dr ht running the 327 4bbl with an automatic with street tires and through the muffler has ran 14.8 but since has made headers and modified an AMC performer to fit the 327 I be willing to say he would run in the 13s with his combination

Yup...that's Ed.
That car is a beauty.
How is he?
I have not heard from him in forever.
I sent him plates to adapt a Gen-3 Torker to the 327.
Did he do something different?
Please tell him to contact me.
