My 63 American is ready to be fired up for the first time, but it doesn't want to start up. It almost gets there but can never quite fully start. I added some videos to show what's happening.

The car was last on the road about 15 years ago according to the previous owner. I've replaced all the distributor parts and put in new plugs and wires. There's a spark but I'm not 100% sure if it's powerful enough. Carb was also rebuilt.

Update - Got the engine to start and idle for a few seconds, now I need to work on making it go for longer.

Without the cooling system hooked up you really don't want it to run more than a few seconds.

You said it hasn't run for years.
Did you flush all the fuel lines, and the fuel tank ?

Yep, all the fuel lines have been cleaned up, rubber hoses replaced. I just want to run it for a few seconds to see if it will shift into gear, then if it does that I'll get into the cooling.

But did you drop the tank and clean it out.

I once cleaned the hoses,  flushed them good.   But just added gas to a dry tank.
The fresh gas desolved all the dried deposits in the tank,  allowed them to move out to my cleaned lines and good carb,  then gummed everything up.
I had to start all over again and drop the tank, clean it out then  replace some lines because fresh crap clogged them so bad I couldn't even push it out even with a coathanger.

I cleaned out the tank, but these tests were using a gas can.
