Why not try adding one quart atf, new filter and let it run at idle for 10 minutes after warm up. Drain the oil and fill, and replace the filter. It's less harsh than thinning with mystery oil and driving around. Plus I would not trust gunk being pumped through a used filter. Once the build up hits the filter, the bypass let's it circulate.

Maybe try Seafoam and some Lucas Oil treatment? Project Farm did that to his Ranger with a lifter tick and the results were surprisingly good.

Just so every one understands. No additional crap. Just 10w-30 oil. I will change it a few times and run it. I dont do the other stuff.
